Biography
Retired from multi-discipline engineering in aerospace my primary efforts are to achieve proficiency in Linux & C++ software languages, piano performance primarily for Chopin and Ragtime, the French language, and typing. I'd like to develop the financial ability to resume flying light airplanes and sail-planes. Flying my 6' wingspan radio controlled model airplane is another intent. Should I somehow develop the energy and self discipline another interest I'll explore is robotics and artificial intelligence possibly associated with the model airplane. To avoid boredom and express creativity I'd like to learn the theory and compose music. That presumes I'll sufficiently recover from a sequence of physical misfortunes during the past dozen years particularly a multiple injury accident in 11-03.
Having been divorced for 25 years and a single parent of five, the latter probably explaining why I'd been without any appreciable interest in women, an extraordinarily intense romance developed in my life for a few years quite recently. I hope something like that might reoccur though I think it impossible aside from with her there not being another woman in the world such as she!
With my cat, "Lil Guy", who's not particularly little in size nor affection I'm fairly content. What has never been in my life is not what I seek. But what has been in my past I do have an urging for in many aspects of existence.
Interests
As might be surmised from my posts a primary interest and concern now is the past, present, and probable future horror in our world. In passing I'll put in my Army MOS: Engineer Combat Platoon Leader. Unfortunately overly broad, my interests are physiology, music, electronics, software, sociology, writing, aeronautics, France and its language, governments, health, cats, dogs, cetaceans, birds, horses, general science, and ecology! I am not bored though being of but moderate intelligence that spectrum results in few accomplishments of significance! The movies I've liked are: Waldo Pepper, The Right Stuff, Strategic Air Command, I-Robot, Private Ryan, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Song to Remember. My favorite books have been Complete Poems of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Complete Poems and Short Stories of Edgar Allen Poe, The Old Man and the Sea - Hemingway, Yeager - autobiography. In music my fondest are: Chopin's Etudes, Ragtime - Scott Joplin et al, Blues and Jazz, Beethoven's Symphonies & Piano & Violin Concertos, Brahms' Violin Concerto, i.e. most classics particularly of the Romantic era and some recent as a special example: "The Westside Story".
