The Dreadful Ages

This: http://emphyrio.blogs.com/ is the most vehement "liberal", whatever that
means, information and opinion source I've run across. Some weblogs it
references are terrifying in their predictions of what the White House
psychotics and psychopaths - there being some of each to include the whole
lot - are likely to accomplish in a few years. That's not even including the
slaughter and maiming of Iraqis, US Americans, and others put in order of
quantity.

It's like "bye bye" social security, medicare included, and also "sorry other
species we need that oil available in a few score years" so your ANWR
(Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve) home is doomed to extirpation. "Don't be
upset", say Bushites, "we're doing the same for all lifeforms other than homo
sapiens sapiens! Those others are not us and therefore of no worth.". Kind of
like others of our own species, Muslims, et al, who have no place in our
empire. "It's the right thing to do!" says GW Bush echoed by his cronies.  
"God tells me that" he says except times when he, as a God, is doing the
"telling"!

One site with a hyperlink on "emphyrio" says in a future civilization, to
which I add if "civil" will ever again be, the history books will describe
this epoch I term "The Dreadful Ages", as the "conquests for oil". That is
the ultimate in worthiness being the singular dedication to accumulation of
material goods. The second in esteem is eliminating those of different
ethnicity and religious beliefs.

Whatever can "liberal" mean I ask since I consider myself a "conservative"
believing in those values and traditions enumerated in documents such as "The
Declaration of Independence", "The Constitution of the United States" (as
honestly interpreted in our history), "Lincoln's Gettysburg Address", and
"The Golden Rule". I am "liberal" in giving the "others" in that "Rule" the
greater benefit as my theology. That belief is a fulcrum of "The Ten
Commandments" and any other religious guide which then becomes at best simply
an appendix of trivial and confusing details which, like Biblical verses, are
usually construed by an interpreter to achieve some personal gain.

Guess what? So as to ameliorate the dismal weather and gloomy near future
world, many parts that is, I've just this very moment ordered shrimp for
lunch! "It's a Wonderful Life" even without Clarence and despite Bushitism!
Furthermore, I love this rain looking out.

It is interesting I just noted, that word I coined, "Bushitism", properly
pronounced has an appropriate and pleasant somewhat harmonic association!
Doesn't it?

Had I an umbrella and rubbers, Northeast-of-Here gear, I'd take a walk. I
wonder if anyone is using the good ones taken from me by some Pennsylvania
crook aided and abetted by the government of Pennsylvania? Everyone is
entitled to and undamaged by some bitterness about life! That's especially if
they believe the coming shrimp are the large kind!
